Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS over Rocky Mountain National Park
Description
Being able to capture this comet really felt like a full-circle moment, but one I had to work for. I took this stacked photograph in the early evening in Colorado's Rocky Mountain National Park. I first got into photography shortly after Comet NEOWISE visited Earth in 2020, but my gear arrived too late for me to get any photos. So, I knew I couldn't let this chance go to waste. This photo was the fruit of five separate attempts over five nights, with nearly 1,000 miles of driving in between. On the fifth night, I was finally graced with clear skies - and maybe misty eyes.
